A space for the struggles, questions, and longings that arise at life's thresholds
Individual Therapy in Berkeley and Petaluma or online with Tuyet-Lyn
There are times when the ways we have learned to move through life no longer fit quite as they once did. Patterns repeat, reactions feel familiar, or a quiet sense of disconnection, longing, or restlessness begins to surface.
Often these moments arise during periods of transition, loss, growth, or change. Sometimes they are connected to the lingering impact of complex or developmental trauma. Other times, there is simply a sense that something is asking for attention, even if it is not yet clear what.
You may find yourself at a threshold—caught between what has been and what is not yet fully known. Part of you may be seeking relief from what has become constricting, familiar, or no longer fits. Another part may be sensing the possibility of a more authentic, connected, and vital way of being.
Individual therapy offers a space to slow down and listen more deeply to what is emerging. Together, we follow the threads of your experience into the places that feel unfinished, unresolved, or alive with possibility, creating room for new awareness, meaning, and movement to take shape.
My work is relational, somatic, trauma-informed, depth-oriented, and informed by parts-based approaches. Together, we explore how your experiences live in your body, your relationships, and your inner world, actively engaging what emerges in the moment. The goal is not simply insight, but a more connected relationship with yourself and greater aliveness in how you inhabit your life.
Sessions are available online and in person in Berkeley and Petaluma.
Listening for What Wants to Emerge
Therapy with me is a space to listen closely—to your thoughts, emotions, bodily experience, and the different parts of you that may be asking for attention.
Together, we stay engaged with what arises, following threads as they emerge, noticing patterns, and bringing curiosity to what may feel just out of reach. Rather than remaining only at the level of understanding, we work with your lived experience, allowing new possibilities to unfold in real time.
As this process deepens, experiences that once felt fixed, constricted, or disconnected can begin to open, creating more room for expression, choice, connection, and vitality.
When You Might Seek Therapy
Thresholds take many forms. You may find yourself:
• Noticing patterns in relationships that are difficult to shift
• Feeling overwhelmed, internally conflicted, or caught between competing needs
• Carrying a sense of being different, unseen, or not fully understood
• Struggling to access, express, or trust what you feel
• Holding a great deal for others while your own needs remain in the background
• Feeling disconnected from yourself or finding it difficult to stay present with your experience
• Moving through a transition, loss, or significant life change
• Sensing the impact of earlier or complex experiences, even if they are difficult to name
• Noticing recurring patterns of seeking relief, escape, control, or comfort and becoming curious about what lives beneath them
• Feeling caught in cycles that are difficult to step away from, while sensing a desire for greater freedom, choice, or connection
You may already be aware of some of these patterns—or simply sense that something is wanting attention, movement, or deeper understanding.
